WASHINGTON - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Bauer Hockey Inc. of Greenland, NH, announced a voluntary recall of approximately 127,000 youth hockey sticks, about 67,000 of them sold in the U.S. and 60,000 sold in Canada.

According to the CPSC, paint and decals on the sticks, shafts and blades contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

No injuries have been reported.
