Herman Miller Announces 3Q 35.7% Increase in Earnings

ZEELAND, MI – Herman Miller Inc. announced results for the third quarter of fiscal 2008, which ended March 1. 

Earnings per share were $0.65, an increase of 30% compared to the prior year period. The increase was the result of a 25.7% increase in operating earnings and previously announced capital structure charges that reduced the average shares outstanding. Sales for the quarter increased 2.2% compared to the same period last year.
