Henkel to Merge Adhesives and Technologies Businesses

DÃœSSELDORF, GERMANY – Henkel KGaA, a supplier of adhesives, sealants and surface treatments, announced the merger of its Consumer and Craftsmen Adhesives and Henkel Technologies business sectors to form the new Adhesives Technologies business sector, effective April 1. Jochen Krautter, currently responsible for Henkel Technologies, and Alois Linder, currently responsible for Consumer and Craftsmen Adhesives, will jointly head the new business sector until June 30. Then, effective July 1, Linder will assume sole responsibility for the Adhesives Technologies business sector.


"The strategic rationale behind the merger of these two businesses derives from the advantages of a unified market approach," said Ulrich Lehner, chairman of the management board of Henkel KGaA. "We expect this move to enable us to better utilize the core competences of both business sectors and to significantly accelerate growth in all regions of the world."
