MINNEAPOLIS – Harden Furniture Inc. has been recognized for its efforts in supporting responsible forest management and promoting the benefits of its Sustainable Forestry Initiative Inc. (SFI) certification.
President and CEO Greg Harden accepted an SFI President’s Award on Sept. 25 for making SFI certification a big part of his company’s marketing efforts, supporting the independent forest certification program through branding and promotions, including in-store displays.
“Harden Furniture proudly promotes its SFI certification just as it proudly promotes its fine furniture – it even has a company car with an SFI logo on it,” said SFI President and CEO Kathy Abusow. “The company is a firm advocate of third-party forest certification, and demonstrates through its actions that it values and understands the environmental and social strength behind the SFI program.”
Earlier this year, Harden Furniture became the first furniture manufacturer to achieve silver exemplary status from the Sustainable Furniture Council.
