WASHINGTON — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and DCI LLC, d/b/a Hanashop of Olive Branch, MS, announced the recall of approximately 180 power cords. The power cords are significantly undersized and allow incorrect insertion of the power plug, posing a risk of shock and/or fire to consumers. The recall involves two-foot, three-outlet power cords sold by ebay.com from Nov. 2006 through April 2008 for between $2 and $5. The power cord is orange in color and packaged in a yellow and green cardboard sleeve. The packaging indicates the power cord is a “12 Gauge Extra Heavy Duty” type, with a model number of T-4145 also printed on the packaging. Consumers should stop using the recalled power cords and contact the firm toll-free at (888) 263-2575 for a full refund.
