Georgia World Congress Center, Home of IWF 2008, Re-opens

ATLANTA — All three buildings of the Georgia World Congress Center are officially opened as of April 29 after 42 days of construction following the tornado of March 14, according to GWCC officials. GWCC is the home of IWF, a woodworking technology trade show held every other year.

“I’ve been there and have seen it for myself,” said Charles R. (Tommy) Tomkins, president of Cresent Fine Furniture and IWF 2008 chairman “It’s amazing and gratifying to see what everyone has done in such short time. We are grateful and appreciative of everyone’s efforts to make this happen. We’re looking forward to another great IWF in Atlanta — as usual.”
