Geiger Intl to Cut Jobs
LAKE MILLS, WI – Office furniture manufacturer Geiger Intl Inc. said it plans to lay off 34 employees by May 11, according to The Milwaukee Business Journal.

“Due to the current global economic conditions, Geiger Intl has experienced a tremendous decrease in demand for products that we manufacture at the Lake Mills facility,” the company stated in a notice filed Thursday with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. The layoffs, which are expected to affect all departments, are likely to be permanent.

The Department of Workforce Development’s Dislocated Worker unit will work with the South Central Workforce Development Board to provide services to affected workers.
