NASSAU , NY — After buying the company he has been president of for the last seven years, Michael Gallant said he will bring back several of the workers that Millbrook Custom Cabinetry, kitchen and bath cabinet manufacturer, laid off when sales slowed, according to The Business Review.

Gallant bought the firm in early December from Joseph E. Hochberg, who started Millbrook Millwork Inc. and Millbrook Kitchens Inc. in 1959. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

They will return to work Jan. 5. Gallant is also talking to people who want to invest in marketing to raise the company’s profile.
