HIGH POINT, NC – The latest Smith Leonard survey indicates that orders of new residential furniture were down 11% in March compared to March of 2007, according to Triangle Business Journal. 

Orders were up 2% from February. However, the month-to-month increase was smaller than it usually is, the survey said. Year-to-date orders were 8% less than the same period last year. Shipments of completed orders were down 9% from last year.
