Furniture Brands constructing huge plant in Indonesia
TAMBAK AJI, INDONESIA -- Furniture Brands Intl, the largest manufacturer of furniture in North America, is building a 1.4 million-square-foot case goods plant and distribution center in Tambak Aji, which will be the company's largest case goods plant in the world, according to Furniture Today

FT reported that the new plant is located close to a 330,000-square-foot Furniture Brands plant that produces for the company's Maitland-Smith and Henredon brands. The company will consolidate all of its current Indonesian production into the new plant and will probably be used to produce other product lines, possibly including Drexel Heritage and Thomasville.
