ST. LOUIS, MO -- Furniture Brands Int'l. announced its second quarter results Wednesday, July 26. The company reported net sales for the second quarter of $601.3 million, compared to $593.8 million in the second quarter of 2005, which is an increase of 1.3%. Net earnings were $17.0 million for the second quarter, up from $9.6 million of the same period last year. Net sales for the first half of 2006 were $1.262 billion, which was an increase of 2.2% from $1.235 billion in the first half of 2005. Read more.
