WEST CHESTER, OH --

Cinmar LLC, dba Frontgate, has recalled approximately 38,000 mahogany wood ladders designed for use in walk-in closets.

The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission said Cinmar has received 860 reports of the ladders breaking, including 28 reports of injuries such as bruises and lacerations to the knees, shins, ankles and feet.

The fold-away two- and three-step ladders, manufactured in Indonesia, are distributed by Dillon Davis of South San Francisco, CA. They were sold at Frontgate stores in Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio, in Frontgate and Sky Mall catalogs nationwide and on Frontgate.com and Skymall.com from December 2005 through July 2010.
