Former Lane Furniture execs to open upholstery plant
NETTLETON, MS – Two former executives of Lane Furniture have started a new company called HomeStretch LLC, with plans to open an upholstered furniture manufacturing plant in Nettleton.

Owners William "Skipper" Holliman and Gentry Long said 140 new jobs will be created over the next four years, according to a press release issued by Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour’s office.

Monroe County will borrow $1.5 million from the Mississippi Development Authority's Capital Improvements Revolving Loan Program to buy the former Advantage manufacturing facility in which HomeStretch's operations will be located. Additionally, MDA provided $298,000 and the Appalachian Regional Commission provided $240,000 for improvements.
