LAKE OSWEGO, OR -- Bob L. McEvers, a past president of the Timber Operators Council, passed away Sep. 1 in Lake Oswego, OR, at the age of 79, according to the Hardwood Plywood and Veneer Assn.  McEvers is survived by his wife Harriet, sons Ron and Randy, daughter Cheri and four grandchildren. McEvers worked for Nicolai Door Co. in Portland for 10 years, then joined Conrad Veneers in 1958 as a partner in a new slicing facility in Tualatin, OR. Remembrance contributions can be made to:
