MARKHAM, ONT – Flakeboard announced that it is moving ahead with its dry resin system with the assistance of the Province of New Brunswick.
Premier Shawn Graham and Flakeboard CEO Kelly Shotbolt jointly announced that the province will provide Flakeboard with a term loan to assist with the installation of the technology. This system is one that employs a patented MDF resin application process, resulting in a 40 to 50% reduction in resin requirements.
“This announcement stems from our government’s commitment to help industry as it becomes more productive and more competitive,” said Graham. “We are committed to our forest industry and it is encouraging to see Flakeboard investing in its operations.”
