LIBBY, MT – Wedge Wood Products, housed in the old Libby plywood plant, was destroyed in a Feb. 25 fire.

The company specialized in the manufacture of survey stakes, lathe strips and wooden wedges.

According to the Missoulian, the company had just installed a new planer to diversify into tongue-and-groove woodworking and small dimension lumber.

The company reportedly had no renter’s fire insurance and the building itself was not insured, since snow collapsed parts of the roof.
