ARTMORE, AL -- Swift Lumber suffered extensive damage caused by a blaze Sunday afternoon. It was the second fire the facility experienced in the past five months.

It took dozens of firefighters from four area fire departments to bring the fire under control, according to the Artmore Advance. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A smaller fire that caused several thousand dollars in damage in January was believed to have been started by an electrical malfunction.

Swift operates eight retail outlets, including one in northwest Florida. In addition to lumber, Swift sells Bertch and Truwood cabinetry; Weather Shield windows and doors; and other building products.
