NORTH WILKESBORO, NC
-Cabinetry and retail display manufacturer Expo Holdings (Pinksheets: EXPH) cites positive
sales but cash flow and production challenges in its latest reports.
Expo Holdings says its D & D Displays unit, which designs and fabricates e wood based displays and cabinetry to retail and customer service industries, will provide National Retail Services, Inc. point of purchase consolidation and distribution services to
retail suppliers. Its first project involves sorting outdoor products and point of purchase
materials and manufacturing wooden support systems, then distributing displays to over 1600 retail locations throughout the US.
Expo Holdings says it has been struggling with cash flow and order fulfillment issues since 2009, and that it had a major equipment failure in late 2010. It has been operating without a CEO for some time. "Management has entirely focused on fulfilling orders and survival, and as a result underperformed in many other areas," the company says in a statement.
Orders for the company are increasing, though, and it expects cash flow to rapidly improve. "Shipments for the balance of February and all of March should exceed $450,000," the company says, with orders for Harris Teeter, Loweâs Companies, and Kronotex USA in process.
"Due to the companyâs financial state, order cancellations, and other issues the company has delayed the introduction of ETC. (easy transitional cabinetry)," another of its brands. it also manufactures CIMA cabinets. "CIMA brand cabinetry continues to move forward with significant orders and production ongoing," says Expo Holding in a statement.
