- Processed lumber products supplier EcoBlu Products Inc. (OTCBB: ECOB) says it will enter a strategic partnership with Heroes Village LLC to build eco conscious homes for veterans.

The partnership has an initial goal to build approximately 2,000 affordable, environmentally friendly and ADA conforming homes throughout the United States.

Ecoblue says the return of 33,000 Veterans  from the  Middle East will drive demand for more homes.

Last  month EcoBlu said it was included in a $1 million contract that specifies supply of its flame and rot-resistant Red Shield coated lumber and trusses for 88 home developments for an Ontario, CA, project by a "prominent national homebuilder."

California's Frame Right Construction was awarded the framing contract with the inclusion of EcoBlu's Red Shield lumber and truss package for the two-story homes range from 1,828 to 2,054 square feet.

EcoBlu Products manufactures wood products treated with a proprietary chemistry that protects against fire, mold/mycotoxins, fungus, rot-decay, wood ingesting insects and termites with its wood surface film and  fire retardant coating under the Red Shield brand.
