Dorel's Furniture Sales Lag in 2Q

MONTREAL – Dorel Industries reported higher overall revenues for its second quarter ended June 30 in spite of a 12% decline in its furniture segment. The company’s total second quarter revenues increased 5.3% to $459 million compared to the same period a year ago. Sales of its ready-to-assemble furniture, however, dropped to $105.6 million. The company said the decline in RTA furniture sales reflects lower inventories by customers.
