Dorel Q3 furniture revenues up 18%
MONTREAL -- Dorel Industries says revenue in its home furnishings segment increased 18.4% to US$148.5 million from US$125.4 million during the third quarter a year ago.

Year-to-date, revenues are up 19.8% to US$410.4 million from US$342.6 million.

Revenue growth is being driven by sales of both domestic and imported items, mainly in the metal folding furniture, futon, bedroom collection and bookcase categories. Consumers turn to Dorel’s value furniture products particularly during a soft economy, the company said.
