Dorel Posts 25% Sales Gain in 3Q

MONTREAL – Dorel Ind. reported a 25.5% jump in third quarter sales and a 3.2% gain in profits. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $552.2 million (U.S.). Net income was $27.2 million for the third quarter.

Martin Schwartz, president and CEO, said, “Over the past three months Dorel’s businesses have performed well relative to the economy and other industries. Sales increased in each of our three segments at a time when consumers are being particularly careful about their purchases. This speaks to the recognition of our brands."
