Dick’s Sporting Goods Recalls 125,000 Lounger Chairs and Recliners

WASHINGTON – Approximately 125,000 Lazy Lounger Chairs and Recliners are being recalled by Dick’s Sporting Goods because they pose a collapsing hazard.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Dick’s Sporting Goods of Pittsburgh, PA, has received 19 reports of the metal frame chairs and recliners collapsing, including 17 injuries involving lacerations and back pains.

The chairs, manufactured in China, were sold nationally at the retailer’s stores and its Web site from February 2006 to August 2007. Dick’s is offering customers a free repair kit.
