WASHINGTON — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Dewalt Industrial Tool Co. have announced the recall of approximately 14,000 Dewalt DC608 18V Cordless Brad Nailers. The nailer can operate when the safety is in the locked position, creating an injury hazard due to the unexpected ejection of a nail.

The nailers involved have date codes 200728 through 200821. Units stamped with an “M” are not included in this recall. The date code can be found on the underside of the handle, once the battery pack is removed. Consumers should immediately stop using the nailers and contact Dewalt for the location of the nearest service center to receive a free repair.
