LINCOLNSHIRE, IL — The deadline for the 14^th annual Design Portfolio Awards has been extended to Sept. 14.

 Any type of custom woodworking project is eligible, provided it was built by a professional woodworker and was completed since January 1, 2006. It must be a project built for an outside customer (someone other than an employee of the shop submitting the entry). Categories include: kitchen cabinets, architectural millwork, residential furniture/built-in, residential furniture/free-standing, solid surface material, laminate casework, specialty products and commercial/institutional furniture.

Winners and honorable mentions will be featured in the December 2007 issue of CWB. The top winner in each category will receive an award plaque and 100 reprints of the article. Honorable Mentions will receive a certificate and 50 reprints.

Winning projects will be selected on the basis of appearance and quality of construction. Entries are limited to a maximum of three per category. The fee is $45 per entry.
