LARAMIE, WY / SCARBOUROUGH, ON - Deals on wood appeared online as Hilco prepares to auction the shuttered architectural millwork firm JWS Manufacturing Inc., and Centennial Woods sells flooring and paneling it produced from the pickets of reclaimed snow fencing. The snow fencing is a familiar in northern climates and around ski areas, where it keeps snow from drifting onto roads. Centennial is based in Laramie, WY.

The story behind the MDF panels and other wood inventories being sold at JWS Manufacturing is more downbeat, as the dormant firm sees Hilco Canada auction assets on behalf of a receiver for the secured creditor on Nov. 9. Along with the 126-inch capacity Holzher panel saw, 1998 CNC router with 12-head tool changer, Brandt single sided edgebander with digital controls, and dozens of portable power saws and sanders, is a warehouse full of MDF panels.

In addition, LWS will auction hardwood species inventory, including mahogany, exotic, reclaimed hemlock, teak, zebra, Mozambique, wenge, mahogany, Afromosia, soft maple, walnut, red oak, Spanish cedar, poplar and bass wood.

Centennial Woods says it has collected a record amount of reclaimed  snow fence through the summer and without warehouse room to store the wood this winter. "
The pine and fir reclaimed wood has a unique character found nowhere else on earth," says Centennial Wood. "This reclaimed wood is naturally dried and cured by one of Wyoming's greatest natural resources: The Wyoming wind."

Surfaces range from grey weathered mountain décor to fully-milled styles. In addition to flooring, the tongue and groove products can be used in paneling and ceiling applications.
