Con men arrested for selling plywood ‘flat-screen TVs’

LA PORTE, IN – Police arrested two men Tuesday, Aug. 18, after they allegedly tried selling plywood disguised as flat-screen TVs at a gas station.

The pair offered gas station patrons an opportunity to buy the bogus flat-screens for $200 to $300, according to The News-Dispatch. The flat-screens proved to be plywood covered by a thin black plastic.
