Company wants to reopen Canadian MDF plant

PEMBROKE, ON - The owners of the idled ATC Pembroke MDF plant are searching for solutions to bring the plant back to life.


According to The Daily Observer, ATC Pembroke is seeking additional investors and concessions from Laurentian Valley Township officials to help make it possible to reopen the plant that was closed in November 2008.


At its peak, the plant reportedly employed 200 people and had a capacity of 145 million square feet of production. It also operated an MDF moulding line.
