KLAMATH FALLS, OR — Columbia Forest Products, a manufacturer of hardwood plywood and veneer, announced plans to lay off more than 60 workers at its Klamath Falls, OR, mill because of the weak housing market, according to OregonLive.com. The company said the layoffs would affect the most recent hires at the hardwood plywood production plant. The mill has been in operation since 1957 and employs between 300 and 500 workers. It produces hardwood plywood products that are used primarily in remodeling projects. Read more.
