CMA announces grant-funded finishing training
The Cabinet Makers Assn. and the American Wood Finishing Institute are making available hands-on instructional programs to train and certify spray finish operators in North Carolina. This program is fully funded by a workforce-training grant from the state.

The program includes hands-on technical training as well as certifications in the following areas: Multi-step Antiquing & Glazing Certification, Color Matching Certification, Spray Operator Certification and FinishGenius Software Certification. Custom programs can also be developed for companies needing more advanced training in specific areas such as: Antiquing & Glazing / Multi-step Finishing, Quality Control, Color Matching, Polyester/Polyurethane Finishing, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and process development or Touch-up and repair.

To participate, all grant applications need to be received no later than April 12, 2010.
