Closets Expo rocks on day one

LONG BEACH, CA –

The 6th annual Closets Expo opened to a steady flurry of activity Thursday, exceeding the expectations of exhibitors.

Approximately 500 buyers scoured the expo hall at the Long Beach Convention Center in search of new machinery, software, hardware and components that could help improve their businesses.

Spokesman for Drawer Connection, Rev-A-Shelf, Hafele, JLT Clamps and many other vendors remarked that they were surprised by the quality of attendees who stopped by their booths in a buying mood.

The day included educational seminars, including a session on the “Art of Pricing,” by Sean Benetin, president of both Millwork and More and the Cabinet Makers Assn. Special on-the-floor demonstration by 20-20 Technologies and Microvellum, were also well received.

The Closets Conference and Expo continues Friday and concludes late in the afternoon with a tour of Drawer Box Specialties 55,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in nearby Orange, CA.
