LINCOLNTON, NC – Chromcraft Revington said it will close its century-old upholstery plant here on Nov. 29, putting about 185 employees out of work.
The Cochrane Furniture plant, acquired by Chromcraft Revington in 1996, will be shut down in favor of sourcing products from foreign sources, according to the Gaston Gazette. The paper reported that warehouse and distribution activities at the Lincolnton facility would be shut down in the first half of 2009.
