Carter Lumber to open new Ohio facility, plans to hire as many as 100
KENT, OH — Carter Lumber Co., a building materials retailer, plans to open a new wholesale lumberyard and truss-making facility in Franklin, OH, in June, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal. The company plans to hire 80 to 100 people at the facility, which will sell custom millwork, windows, doors, trusses, panels and engineered floors.

“The company will bring long-term sustainable jobs to our community, and we will work with them to make sure they are a success story,” said Franklin Mayor Fred Paris in a statement.

Carter operates more than 200 stores in 10 states and employs more then 3,500.
