CARB sell-through deadline extended
SACRAMENTO, CA — The California Air Resources Board has issued a regulatory advisory extending “pre-Phase 1” sell-through period deadlines until Dec. 31.

According to a press release issued by the Composite Panel Assn., the extension applies to all composite panels or finished products produced with panels that were manufactured prior to Jan. 1, 2009, the manufacturing cut-off date for pre-Phase 1 material.

The extension applies to distributors and retailers, as well as finished good fabricators. The deadline for composite panel manufacturers expired in March of this year, and was not extended by the advisory.

CARB also extended the sell-through period for Phase 1 hardwood plywood veneer core (HP-VC) until Dec. 31. With the Phase 2 emission reduction deadline for HP-VC manufacturers set to kick in on Jan. 1, 2010, the sell through period for Phase 1 HP-VC products, until now, had been set for March 31, 2010.
