FORT NELSON, BC – The jobs of approximately 200 workers were saved by a recent decision by Canfor Corp. not to close its Takama plywood mill in Fort Nelson. In January the company announced that the plywood plant, as well as a nearby oriented strand board plant, would be closed due to the weakened demand for new homes in the United States.
