Canadian housing starts dip in September

TORONTO – The seasonally adjusted rates of Canadian housing starts declined 4.5% or 7,200 units to 150,100 units in September.


According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp., multi-family housing starts decreased by approximately 17,100 units, a 17.4% drop. This loss was partly made up by a 16.8% in single family construction activity.
