RESTON, VA -- According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association?s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported sales totaling $8.9 billion for 2006 and closed with a gain of 7.8% over 2005. Stock sales were up 8.1%; semi-custom sales were up 8.8%; and custom sales were up 2.4%.
The survey also noted that cabinet sales for December 2006 decreased 11.7% over December 2005. Stock cabinet sales decreased 18.0%, semi-custom sales decreased 6.4% and custom sales decreased 0.1% compared to December 2005 numbers.
