RESTON, VA – Cabinet sales for July 2008 decreased 18.2% compared to sales for July 2007, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Assn.’s monthly Trend of Business Survey. Stock cabinet sales decreased 12.0%, semi-custom sales dropped 22.6% and custom sales decreased 24.4%.

Year-to-date sales show a decrease of 15.8% with stock sales down 18.8%, semi-custom sales down 13.1% and custom sales down 15.2%. Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales represent over 50 percent of the U.S. cabinet market.
