Cabinet Makers Assn. announces two May regional events
MILWAUKEE, WI — The Cabinet Makers Assn. (CMA) announced two new regional events, both scheduled for Friday, May 7.

The day-long sessions feature seminars from CMA Speakers Bureau members, and are part of the CMA's College of Cabinet Making and Custom Woodworking, as well as presentations from sponsoring Associate Members. Both events are open to CMA members and their guests, as well as other interested professional woodworkers.

In the Kansas City area, co-hosts Brian Dirks and John Langley will hold their event at John Langley Cabinets in Baldwin City, KS. The event is sponsored by CMA Associate Members Delmac Machinery, Classic Designs by Matthew Burak and Keystone Wood Specialties.

The keynote seminar will be delivered by Kevin Ward, of A Ward Design, Winterhaven, FL, and will focus on methods and procedures to not only survive, but thrive in today’s economy. Ward, the CMA Speakers Bureau’s newest member, was featured in the February 2010 cover story in CWB magazine.

In the San Diego area, Dennis Schlentz of Dovetail Furnishings will hold the event at his Ramona, CA, shop. The event is sponsored by Associate Members Stiles Shop Solutions, Classic Designs by Matthew Burak, Keystone Wood Specialties and Columbia Forest Products.

Veteran Speakers Bureau member Eric Lehmann of Innovative Wholesale Fabricators, Long Island, NY, will be on hand to deliver his no-nonsense approach to closing more sales.
