HIGH POINT, NC -- Klaussner Home Furnishings announced the retirement of Steve Brower, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Brower joined Klaussner in 1979 and was promoted to the positions of national accounts manager in 1981, vice president of sales in 1996, and senior vice president of sales in 2005. In 2008 he took on the extra duty of managing Klaussner's marketing program.

“Klaussner has been my home and my extended family for many long and prosperous years,” said Brower. “I have been blessed to be able to work with so many wonderful people both inside the company and outside with all of our tremendously loyal customers. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to see this company grow to where it is today.”

Earlier this month, Klaussner CEO Bill Wittenberg and the senior management team acquired the company from former owner Hans Klaussner, in a deal funded by Wells Fargo Capital Finance.
