STANLEY, NC –

Blum Inc., a manufacturer of functional hardware for kitchen cabinets and commercial casegoods, has announced plans to invest $18.5 million dollars over the next two years in equipment upgrades and facility expansion at its plant in Lincoln County, NC.

The majority of the investment will be in assembly equipment for Blum’s new line of concealed hinges for kitchen cabinets. Although currently manufactured at one of its Austrian facilities, over the next few months Blum will bring the assembly of these hinges to its North Carolina-based facility. Blum’s technical support facility will also be upgraded. According to Karl Ruedisser, CEO and president of Blum US, the company’s new investment will create at least eight new full-time positions over the next two years.

Additionally, the Lincoln Board of County Commissioners approved a $281,670 industrial-development incentive grant for Blum, which will be distributed over five years.
