Blu Homes Inc., a manufacturer of prefabricated structures, announced the national launch of the first product in its mkDesigns line, the Glidehouse.

"The Glidehouse is an elegant and innovative green design, and we are delighted to offer this spectacular home," said Bill Haney, CEO of Blu Homes. "Artfully harmonizing indoor and outdoor living, the Glidehouse truly proves that sustainability can be both beautiful and cost-effective."

Starting at $360,000, the Glidehouse constructed entirely at Blu's 80,000-square-foot Massachusetts factory. It is built with proprietary steel and wood hybrid framing.

In addition, non-VOC paints, glazing like Andersen or NanaWall® windows and doors, FSC certified wood and bamboo flooring, water-saving fixtures by Kohler, and Paperstone countertops, are some of the eco-friendly finishes the Glidehouse features.
