GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- The Business and Furniture Manufacturers Association announced that the approval of an updated ANSI/BIFMA X5.1 General-Purpose Office Chairs by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
 
The BIFMA Chair Subcommittee revised this new standard to include improvements in test consistency, modifications to test loads and a new test for footrests.
