PESARO, ITALY - Biesse says its wood manufacturing machinery unit has received its largest order ever, totaling almost â¬12 million (A$17 million U.S.) from Howdens Joinery Co., a leading U.K. kitchen manufacturing company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
The orders involve the supply of an entire system of wood processing machines to be delivered during the next 24 months. Howdens Joinery supplies over 400,000 kitchens each year to U.K. homes, selling only to the trade, and delivering from 490 trade depots.
Biesse SpA is represented in the U.S. by woodworking divisions Biesse America and Intermac America (Charlotte, NC), the companyâs stone and glass division.
