SCHAUMBURG, IL –
 Banks Hardwoods Inc. of White Pigeon, MI, a manufacturer of hardwood dimension and components, has signed on as the first sponsor of the 2nd Annual Dollars & Sense of Going Green Conference.  The company, which sources both domestic and foreign species, also was a sponsor of last year’s program in Indianapolis.



The conference, being organized by the Department of Forestry at Purdue University and Wood & Wood Products, will address a variety of industry best environmental practices, ranging from using certified woods and reducing finishing emissions to trends in green design and recycling manufacturing waste.



The first day of the conference will conclude with a networking reception featuring table-top exhibits hosted by representatives of board products, woodworking machinery and supplies.
