COMMERCE, CA — The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS), a trade association representing manufacturers and distributors of machinery and supplies for furnishings and wood products, has promoted AWFS Fair Operations Director, Marguerite Hoffman to Vice President of Trade Shows. Hoffman will be responsible for the strategic and managerial aspects of the 2009 AWFS Fair.

“Marguerite’s superb control of everything behind the scenes at the Fair made her a perfect choice to take on broader responsibilities,” Angelo Gangone, executive vice president, AWFS, said. “Her extensive production and management background will help us continue to grow the AWFS Fair.”

Hoffman already has more than 16 years’ experience producing and marketing tradeshows, conferences and special events. In her new role at AWFS Fairs, Hoffman will oversee all sales and development for the AWFS Fair, while also forging strategic alliances with industry leaders and strengthening the Fair’s relationship with the wood and supplier industry at large.
