- Woodworking machinery firm DELTA says it is continuing its traditionally strong presence at and support of the AWFS Fair. This year DELTA will have its own standalone booth (#4029) outfitted with the companyâs latest machinery and equipment, including the U.S.-made Unisaw.
The list of DELTA activities and sponsorships includes:
Scott Phillips, host and producer of the popular PBS how-to show The American Woodshop, will be in the DELTA booth (#4029) at various times each day during the show demonstrating his creative woodworking techniques on the DELTA Midi-lathe, Bandsaw and Unisaw. DELTA will again be a sponsor of Scottâs show in 2012.
DELTA will be providing a Unisaw, dust collector and band saw to the College of Woodworking Knowledge Seminar âHandcrafted Furniture Track: Designing & Building Chairsâ by Jeff Miller.
DELTA is providing two dust collectors (models 50-765 5 HP unit and 50-761 2 HP unit) to SmartSHOP, a fully operational cabinet shop on the exhibit floor, which will be hosted by industry expert Gero Sassenberg and will showcase âSimplicity in Automation for the Small Shop.â
DELTA is the Lanyard Sponsor for the AWFS Fair this year, supplying 15,000 lanyards to show management.
Finally, the winner of the WorldSkills Cabinetmaking Qualifying Trial at the AWFS Fair will be awarded a Model 36-L336 Unisaw by DELTA, which will donate the same model Unisaw to the winnerâs school. Scott Phillips will be on hand to announce the winner and award the prizes. The ceremony will be held at the AWFS Fair Las Vegas Convention Center on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
