AWFS Vegas Fair offers exhibitor incentives
Farmingdale, N.Y. – July 6, 2011 – Amana Tool, manufacturer of industrial-quality carbide-tipped, solid carbide and replacement carbide cutting tools, today announced its shaper cutter collection features a broad variety of more than 100 different profiles. The product line contains carbide-tipped and insert shaper cutters for numerous applications, in particular for creating profiles, moldings, cabinetry, entry doors and flooring.
Each carbide-tipped shaper cutter features extra-thick cutting tips made of Amana’s exclusive sub-micro grain carbide, allowing for multiple resharpenings, and is balanced for superior cutting performance and longer tool life. The high-quality raw materials and unique manufacturing process ensures that each shaper cutter meets Amana’s stringent quality standards. Amana’s specific high-grade carbide and special grinding angles provide high-quality finishes and superior cutting performance to save users time and labor when creating doors, molding, flooring, wainscoting and decorative profiles.
Amana’s shaper cutter collection also includes insert shaper cutters that save users time and money by eliminating setup and resharpening. Insert carbide knives are harder than standard carbide tips and last up to four times longer. Many knives have multiple cutting edges and can simply be rotated to a new cutting edge, making Amana’s insert shaper cutters very economical for high-volume, large-scale production.
One of Amana’s most popular shaper cutter profiles is the adjustable Instile and Rail™ set (SC555, $295.47 USD), which can be used to create rattle-free Mission Style cabinet doors. The two-piece set, which also contains shims for more precise size adjustments, is designed specifically for undersized plywood flat panels to create a snug fit between the center panel and rail and stile pieces. Amana also offers an insert Instile and Rail shaper cutter set (item #61218, $407.52 USD) for making Mission Style doors that allows users to replace the cutting edges as needed rather than the entire tool. The company also has reduction bushings available to adapt all of its shaper cutters to various arbor sizes.
“Amana’s extensive collection of shaper cutters enables woodworkers to easily create popular cabinet door styles, moldings, flooring and architectural profiles,” said Frank Misiti, technical director at Amana Tool. “We are dedicated to providing the largest variety of woodworking tools at affordable prices, saving our customers time and money while solving their cutting problems with the highest quality products.”
