CITY OF COMMERCE, CA – The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers announced the release of the third edition of Fresh Wood. AWFS said Fresh Wood, Vol. 3: Reinventing Workshop is a colorful, coffee-table-sized book and this year it is being published “in-house” by the association. Angelo Gangone, AWFS vice president – tradeshows, said that by publishing in-house, the book can be offered at a significant cost savings to the previous editions.

The book features the 59 finalists and winning pieces of the Fresh Wood student competition, which were displayed at the 2007 AWFS Fair in Las Vegas. Included are the students’ comments about the construction processes and challenges, as well as discussions of the tools, machines, software and finishing products they used.
