Arclin shuts Thunder Bay resin factory

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Arclin Resins shut down its Thunder Bay, ON, facility last week, putting 28 people out of work.

 

According to TbNewsWatch.com, the company said the closure was prompted by weak market conditions in the forest sector and housing market.

 

The plant, formerly known as Neste, manufactured adhesives used in the manufacture of particleboard and oriented strand board.

 

Arclin filed for bankruptcy protection in Canada and the United States in July.
